Privacy Policy

What information Reseller Cash processes, why it is needed, which service providers receive it, and how you can control your data.

Scope: This policy applies to the Reseller Cash website, progressive web application, browser extension, connected marketplace features, support tools, and related backend services. Separate third-party services remain governed by their own privacy policies.

1. Who operates Reseller Cash

Reseller Cash is operated under the Kosmo Seller name (referred to as “Reseller Cash,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy explains our role in processing information associated with users of the service.

2. Information we process

Account and profile information

Email address, authentication identifiers, interface language, time zone, account status, feature settings, and activity timestamps needed to operate scheduled features. Password authentication is handled by our authentication provider; Reseller Cash does not display users' passwords to administrators.

Reseller business records

Information a user enters or imports, such as purchases, inventory, sales, expenses, income, costs, sellers and contacts, notes, photographs, receipts, files, goals, custom platforms, and related business dates. Some records may contain personal information about the user or people with whom the user does business.

Connected eBay information

When a user connects eBay, we may process the eBay username, authorization grants and encrypted refresh token, listings, item identifiers, SKUs, titles, categories, item specifics, condition, photos, price, quantity, shipping and return settings, promotions and offers, listing performance, search position, orders, sales, payouts, fees, refunds, and other information made available through the authorized eBay APIs. The initial connection includes access needed by listing tools, but Reseller Cash updates, relists, or ends a listing only after the user explicitly starts that action.

Seller Protection community records

Seller Protection processes exact eBay usernames submitted by users or present in seller-selected recent orders, a structured transaction topic, an incident date, a source label, a limited verification status, and, for new transaction records, a short AI-generated summary. A signed-in seller may link a submission to an order to confirm that the transaction belongs to that seller; results do not display the order identifier or reporter identity. A shared personal block list contributes only the fact that a username appeared in that list, without a reason.

A submitted description is automatically screened to replace obvious contact, address, payment, link, reference, and inflammatory content before it is sent to OpenAI solely to generate a short neutral summary in the supported languages. The original full description is not stored in the Seller Protection database or displayed to users. The stored AI summary can be inaccurate and is not an independently verified finding.

Contributions and checks are rate-limited. We use a browser-generated contributor identifier and a one-way pseudonymous value derived from network request information to enforce daily reporting, list-sharing, and AI-summary limits. Search usage for signed-in users is associated with their Reseller Cash account. These controls are not displayed in community records.

Device, local storage, and technical information

The application uses browser storage, including IndexedDB and local storage, for offline operation, session continuity, settings, cached application data, outbox synchronization, and dismissal state. We may also process IP address and standard request metadata, device/browser information, timestamps, function logs, error details, and security events generated when the service is used.

Browser extension and Mercari cross-listing

The optional Reseller Cash browser extension runs only on Reseller Cash, Mercari, the Reseller Cash Supabase endpoint, and approved listing-image hosts. After the user starts a transfer, it receives the selected eBay listing title, description, category, condition, item specifics, price, photos, shipping information, and a short-lived job token. It opens Mercari's sell form, fills supported fields, observes the form and resulting Mercari listing page, and sends the job status, Mercari listing identifier or URL, and limited error details back to Reseller Cash. Temporary job state, retry events, and recovery credentials are stored in Chrome local storage only for continuity and expire or are removed after completion or the documented recovery period. The extension does not read, receive, or transmit the user's Mercari password or authentication cookies.

Notifications and support

If enabled, we store a Web Push subscription endpoint and cryptographic keys needed to deliver notifications. If a user reports an error or requests support, we process the message, selected diagnostic context, and any information the user chooses to provide. Error reports are designed to exclude configured secrets and are sent only after a user initiates the report.

3. Why we process information

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, processing is based on performance of the service requested by the user, consent for optional connections or notifications, our legitimate interests in security and product operation, and compliance with legal obligations. Consent may be withdrawn without affecting earlier lawful processing.

4. Marketplace authorization

Connecting eBay is optional. Authorization occurs on eBay, and Reseller Cash receives tokens rather than the user's eBay password. The application requests scopes needed for enabled functions. A user can disconnect eBay from Settings. Disconnecting stops future authorized API access and removes the stored connection token, but does not automatically delete business records or historical snapshots already stored in Reseller Cash. Users may also revoke application access through eBay.

5. AI-assisted processing

Reseller Cash uses OpenAI services to generate listing, store, and search-ranking recommendations and short Seller Protection summaries. Depending on the feature, the submitted material may include listing context or a deterministically screened transaction description. Seller Protection does not send the reported eBay username or order identifier in the AI summary request, and the original description is not retained after processing. Reseller Cash does not intentionally include marketplace access tokens, passwords, payment-card details, or configured secrets in AI requests.

AI output can be inaccurate. Recommendations are presented for user review and short Seller Protection summaries are visibly labeled as AI-generated; neither is an independently verified finding. Information processed by OpenAI is also subject to the contractual and security terms governing our use of its API.

6. Service providers and disclosures

We disclose information only as reasonably necessary to operate the service, fulfill a user's request, or comply with law. Current categories include:

We may also disclose information to professional advisers, authorities, or affected parties when reasonably necessary to comply with law, investigate abuse or security incidents, protect rights and safety, or complete a business reorganization subject to appropriate safeguards. We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Seller Protection contribution forms may be available without signing in, but exact-username checks and results are available only to users signed in to Reseller Cash with a connected eBay seller account. Anonymous individual-username pages are not provided. Eligible sellers may see the exact eBay username, structured topic, date, source label, verification badge, aggregate record counts, and a visibly labeled short AI summary. Reporter identity, order identifiers, private eBay account data, and the original description are not displayed. eBay does not operate or endorse this community feature.

Reseller Cash's use and transfer of information received from Chrome APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Browser activity and website content are accessed only as necessary for the user-facing eBay-to-Mercari cross-listing function.

7. Human and administrator access

Most processing is automated. Administrators do not routinely inspect connected eBay stores or user business records. Limited access by an authorized administrator may occur only to the minimum extent necessary when the user directly asks us to verify a particular result or resolve a support issue, when investigating abuse or a security incident, or when required by law. A support request authorizes access only to information reasonably related to that request.

8. International processing

Reseller Cash and its providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Privacy protections in those countries may differ from those in the user's location. Where required, providers and contractual arrangements are used to support lawful international transfers.

9. Retention

Account and business data is generally retained while an account remains active and as needed to provide the service. Marketplace snapshots, ranking history, recommendation history, synchronization records, and job records may be retained to provide historical views, prevent duplicate work, investigate errors, and maintain service integrity. OAuth state records are short-lived; connection tokens are removed when the connection is disconnected or deleted. Diagnostic and security logs are retained only as reasonably needed for troubleshooting, abuse prevention, legal obligations, backups, and disputes.

Active Seller Protection records are retained while needed to provide the community reference, preserve source and duplicate-control integrity, handle correction or removal requests, and resolve disputes. We may standardize, correct, withdraw, delete, or de-identify a record when appropriate. Rate-limit records are retained only as reasonably needed for abuse prevention and service integrity.

After a verified deletion request, we delete or de-identify information under our control unless retention is required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or backup integrity. Residual backup copies may remain for a limited period until routinely overwritten.

10. Security

Safeguards include encrypted network transport, session verification, owner-based database access controls, private file storage, server-side secret handling, restricted administrator functions, and encryption of stored marketplace refresh tokens. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Users should use a unique password, protect their devices, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access.

11. User choices and privacy rights

Subject to applicable law, a user may request access to, correction of, export of, or deletion of personal information, and may object to or restrict certain processing. Users can edit supported records in the application, disconnect eBay in Settings, disable browser notifications through browser or operating-system settings, and sign out of active sessions.

To request account or data deletion, contact us using the details below from the account email or provide information sufficient to verify account ownership. We may request verification before fulfilling a request. Users may also contact the relevant privacy regulator where applicable. We do not discriminate against users for exercising privacy rights.

If a Seller Protection record concerns your eBay username, you may request access to the displayed record, correction, a response, restriction, or removal using the contact below. We may ask for reasonable evidence that you control the username before changing a record.

12. Cookies and tracking

Reseller Cash relies on authentication/session mechanisms and browser storage required for login, security, offline operation, preferences, and synchronization. We do not currently use third-party advertising cookies or third-party behavioral advertising trackers. Browser privacy signals do not change essential storage needed to provide a signed-in service, but we honor legally required opt-out rights applicable to practices we conduct.

13. Children

Reseller Cash is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information to the service.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product, integrations, or legal requirements change. The effective date and version will be updated on this page. Material changes may also be communicated in the application or by another reasonable method.
